A TWE-exclusive charity bottling of whisky from Amrut, supporting aid work in Nepal in the wake of the earthquake that hit the country in April 2015.

All of the proceeds from the sale of this whisky were donated to the Help Nepal Network charity

Bottled from a single cask, this is a classic Amrut – sweet, spicy and complex.

Palate : Thick, lush textures, and flavours of soft papaya and citrus with sweet spice, cinnamon and cloves.

Finish : Long and juicy, with soft and buttery baked fruit coming through.

About Amrut

Amrut Distilleries is a Bangalore-based company founded in 1948 that produces a wide range of liquors, including the award-winning Amrut Indian Single Malt Whiskey, which was the first Indian single malt to be exported internationally. The name 'Amrut' comes from the Sanskrit word for "nectar of the gods," and the company uses Indian barley grown near the Himalayas for its whiskies. Due to Bangalore's high altitude and warm climate, the aging process is accelerated, with whiskies maturing faster than those in Scotland, though this also results in a higher "angel's share" (evaporation).
