One of a long series of special commemorative edition 'Scenes from Lynchburg' bottlings that Jack Daniel's have produced for their legions of fans. This particular scene (No. 9) features some old-timers leaning on a charcoal-mellowing vat. 1 of 12 of the series.

The image on this bottle shows two people looking over the mellowing vats where every drop of Jack Daniel’s whiskey makes its way through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal.

Following the U.S. debut of this series in 2003, a new bottle in the series was released every year with the exception of 2010. In the U.S. these “Scenes” bottles are available in a 750ml size with 86 proof whiskey, and are not sold in a box or with a hang tag. This series can also be found in Europe (debuted in 1998) as 1 liter bottles filled with 86 proof whiskey and in Canada as 750ml bottles filled with 80 proof whiskey.

Tasting Notes

• Nosing: The Tennessee Whiskey presents itself on the nose with a sweet aroma. It smells dry and has spices and nuts. Fine smoke lingers in the background.
• Tasting: The Jack Daniel's Scenes from Lynchburg No.9 is soft and creamy on the tongue. The whisky tastes of sweet vanilla and caramel. Wood is present.
• Finish: The finish is long and sweet. The Jack Daniel's Scenes from Lynchburg Number Nine leaves with notes of grain and toasted oak.
