The Dram Takers Collection (Volume 1) draws its timeless artistry from a fabled manuscript – The Book of Kells - penned in Latin in the ninth century. The distinctive illustrative style has inspired our design of two ‘dram takers’ raising a glass – an ancient gesture of unity and ritual. Each bottle in this collection is a celebration of heritage, craftsmanship, and the tradition of raising a special dram of single malt Scotch whisky to recognise truly meaningful moments. Born in the heart of Scotland, this series shines a light on spirit from distilleries with their own chapter in Scotland’s liquid history. Matured in Gordon & MacPhail’s own casks, and carefully nurtured for many years, each dram embodies our unique experience, handed down through four generations since 1895.

GLENLIVET 58 YEAR OLD
N O S E : Rich FRUITCAKE aromas complement MORELLO CHERRY and tart RASPBERRY. Notes of PLUM develop alongside LIQUORICE and ORANGE MARMALADE.
T A S T E : CANDIED PEEL intertwines with flavours of TOASTED HAZELNUTS and vibrant SUMMER BERRIES. DARK CHOCOLATE undertones give way to hints of ROASTED COFFEE BEAN.
F I N I S H : A full SPICY finish with DEMERARA SUGAR and MATURE OAK.
LONGMORN 55 YEAR OLD
N O S E : Rich SHERRY aromas give way to subtle BEESWAX POLISH and hints of CIGAR BOX. Ripe BLACKCURRANT notes combine with fragrant LAVENDER and MATURE OAK.
T A S T E : Smooth STEWED RED BERRY flavours complement rich DARK CHOCOLATE. BLACK FOREST FRUIT comes to the fore alongside a subtle hint of CLOVE.
F I N I S H : A creamy and long finish with lingering AUTUMNAL SPICES and RASPBERRY.
LINKWOOD 54 YEAR OLD
N O S E : Vibrant ORANGE PEEL aromas are balanced by POLISHED LEATHER. Fresh HERBAL NOTES intertwine with STEWED RAISINS and faint, soft SMOKE
T A S T E : BLACKCURRANT gives way to flavours of bitter ORANGE and NUTMEG. ESPRESSO is balanced by rich RED BERRIES and TOASTED OAK.
F I N I S H : Long and full finish with CASSIS and lingering SMOKE.
GLENROTHES 52 YEAR OLD
N O S E : Rich STEWED RAISIN aromas intertwine with fragrant CLOVE SPICE and subtle AGED LEATHER. BLACKCURRANT and MEDJOOL DATE lead to MATURE OAK.
T A S T E : Smooth DARK CHOCOLATE flavours complement DRIED FRUITS and a hint of AGED LEATHER. Sweet ORANGE PEEL gives way to ROASTED HAZELNUTS.
F I N I S H : Full finish with lingering COFFEE BEAN and FOREST FRUIT.
MORTLACH 50 YEAR OLD
N O S E : Rich SHERRY aromas combine with MATURE OAK influences and DRIED SPICES, CLOVE and CINNAMON. DARK CHOCOLATE gives way to sweeter notes of MOLASSES, TREACLE and BROWN SUGAR.
T A S T E : Sweet with RED FRUIT and RAISINS. ORANGE PEEL and soft LIQUORICE complement GINGER and CIGAR BOX with a subtle ASHY note at the end.
F I N I S H : Long, sweet and complex with lingering hints of AGED LEATHER, BROWN SUGAR and COCOA POWDER.
STRATHISLA 52
N O S E : Fragrant AUTUMNAL SPICE aromas combine with DEMERARA SUGAR and CANDIED PEEL. A hint of DARK CHOCOLATE complements subtle VANILLA POD and OAK.
