Aberlour distillery sits at the edge of the town of Aberlour in Speyside. Known for a fruity, well balanced spirit that ages particularly well in sherry casks. Distilled using local barley, from fields nearby to the distillery. This is their 14 year old, which has aged in a mixture of American oak casks and Oloroso sherry butts.

Staff Tasting NotesNose – Blackcurrant, raisin, strawberry, apples, pears. Blackberry apple crumble. Palate – A little hint of cinder toffee, more apple and pear, vanilla, more berries and fruit cake. Little bready note, with brown toast. Although 40%, not a thin dram. Official Tasting NotesNose – Well balanced with sweet vanilla and ripe cherry.Palate – Soft caramel, blackberry and subtle spice.
