An Auchentoshan distillery exclusive single cask bottling.

First in Bourbon and then transferred to a Port Cask. This Auchentoshan Distillery Cask was distilled in June 2012 and bottled in 2022.

This lowland distillery was once known as ‘Dunochter Distillery’ before it was bought by John Hart and Alexander Filshie in 1834.

The distillery has had many ownerships over the years, being sold to Morrison Bowmore in 1984 for £325,000, now part of Beam Suntory. One forte that Auchentoshan has is that it's one of the only distilleries in Scotland to exclusively use a triple distillation process, as well as unusually using all of its production for single malt.

As well as being a notoriously challenging tongue twister for American whisky aficionados, Auchentoshan distillery is noteworthy for being one of the few buildings not damaged during the Clydebank Blitz of 1941. Unfortunately one of its warehouses wasn't so lucky, and the picturesque pond just outside the distillery is actually a bomb crater.

It remains the only distillery in Scotland doing 100% triple distillation and one of the very few where all the production is bottled as single malt.
