After years of innovation and craftmanship we are finally ready to unveil the latest and greatest of the NED Australian Whisky portfolio: NED Grand Reward.

NED Grand Reward is the pinnacle of the range, where exceptional whisky meets tawny cask elegance. The finest casks of NED Australian Whisky are extra matured in Tawny barrels, sourced from historic Kelly Country. Described by our distilling team as ‘an iron fist in a velvet glove’, it is our most luxurious and refined whisky yet.

This whisky utilises a very carefully hand-picked parcel of NED Australian Whisky barrels which are selected for their quality and complexity. They are then further matured in ex-Tawny casks until the vanilla, caramel and chocolate of the whisky and the dried fruits, Christmas cake and red berry notes of the cask are perfectly integrated. Bottled at 50% ABV - or 100 Proof on the American scale - we retain the power of the whisky and highlight the elegance of the sweetness

The very first batch of Grand Reward will be released next week, with just 318 bottles available. Once sold out the second batch is expected to come to maturity in the first half on 2024.

Tasting Notes 

Aroma: Rich and luxurious nose of ripe red berries, dried figs, creme caramel and milk chocolate. The luscious sweetness sits above gentle cereal notes which emerge with time in the glass.

Palate: A very silky texture, this glides onto the tongue and then coats the mouth. Raspberry, figs, raisin and almonds leading to forest floor, fruit-and-nut chocolate with a gentle spice providing structure.

Finish: Red berries and sweet nutty notes return, with a subtle backbone of cracked pepper and cereal notes.
