Octomore returns with another range of super peaty whisky that's been aged for at least five years and bottled close to cask strength. Octomore 14.1 5 Year Old was distilled from 100% Scottish barley that was malted to a fiery 128.9 ppm and was matured in first-fill American whiskey casks. The idea with this expression was to impart a subtle oak influence to allow the raw smoky character of the spirit to shine.

Tasting Notes

Nose : Powerful peat reek leads with vanilla and salted caramel in support, as well as lemon peel.

Palate : Cinder toffee, peppery spice, golden syrup, orchard fruit, and earthy peat.

Finish : Smoky oak char and vanilla.
