Tasting notes

The strawberry-like aroma hidden within the soft, gorgeous aroma comes from malt spirits aged in wine barrels, while the sweet, sparkling, smooth spread comes from the addition of malt spirits aged in Mizunara barrels.

Nose : Strawberries, cherries

Palate : Honey, smooth texture, expansive sweetness

Finish : Sweet vanilla, cinnamon, beautiful and pleasant aftertaste

About Yamazaki

The Yamazaki Distillery, established in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii as Japan's first malt whisky distillery, is the birthplace of Japanese whisky, a result of Torii's vision to create a unique whisky using a Japanese climate and pure water sources. After sending Masataka Taketsuru to learn from Scottish whisky masters, Yamazaki began production in 1924, laying the foundation for Suntory's now world-famous Japanese whiskies. The distillery's success was cemented by international acclaim, including Yamazaki Sherry Cask 2013 winning World Whisky of the Year, bringing global recognition to Japanese whisky.
