A lesser known distillery despite having commenced distillation of spirits back in 1823. 

Hinomaru Whisky Signature 1823 commemorates 200 years of sake brewing by Kiuchi Sake Brewery. Driven by a passion to expand from local traditions to a global audience, the whisky's malt is partially grown at Yasato Distillery and fully distilled there.

Using some of the barley malt grown in Hitachino, only malt liquor distilled 100% at Kiuchi Shuzo's Yasato Distillery is aged and blended in bourbon barrels, rum barrels, and sherry barrels.

TASTING NOTES

Floral and vanilla aromas meet soft cereal and peach on the palate, finishing with gentle smoke and a touch of honeyed sweetness.
