Nikka Taketsuru Fortune 80' (1980s) 76cl

A rare Japanese bottle from 40 years ago!

Nikka Taketsuru Fortune ’80 is a blend of Yoichi and Miyagikyo whiskies. It was launched in the 1980s as an homage to Masataka Taketsuru, founder of Nikka and father of the Japanese whisky industry. Once one of Nikkas prime expressions, but discontinued in the 1990s.

The whisky is beautifully presented in a glass and silver metal decanter with original hang tag.

Tasting Notes
Nose : Warm aromas with apples, oranges and plum notes alongside wood and smoke hints

Palate : Complex, well-balanced palate of citrus, sugar, herbs and wood notes with fruity flavours

Finish : Sweet finsh with lingering smoke notes

About Nikka

Whisky is a Japanese company, founded in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru – the "Father of Japanese Whisky" – after he studied distilling in Scotland. The brand is known for its two distilleries, the maritime-style Yoichi and the more delicate Miyagikyo, which produce a wide range of single malt and blended whiskies. Nikka blends Scotch-inspired techniques with Japanese precision, creating whiskies renowned for their complexity, balance, and unique character influenced by their distinct environments.
