With great attention to detail, an original is created in the heart of the Bavarian Alps in the unique distillery on Schliersee under managing director and master distiller Hans Kemenater: the SLYRS. The SLYRS whiskey distillery is a manufacturer of products of the highest quality. The whiskey pioneers from Upper Bavaria are real believers. The absolute passion with which the SLYRS distillers practice their craft is the prerequisite for the unique quality of the multiple international award-winning whiskeys and liqueurs. But as one of the largest whiskey manufacturers in Germany, SLYRS doesn't rest on its laurels.
Cask: New American white oak barrels
Special feature: non chill-filtered, natural colour, vatting of 3-6 year old whiskey.
Until now, the Slyrs were always available with a vintage indication and then bottled three years later with three years. No longer. The Slyrs in the light-colored packaging reveal nothing more about themselves.
"The maturation for Classic Slyrs takes place exclusively in barrels made of new American white oak, with a volume of 225 liters.
These heavily burned barrels give off natural color and many fine aromas to the distillate.
The distillate now breathes for at least 3 to 6 years the fresh, spicy mountain air and matures into the Classic Slyrs Bavarian single malt whiskey. No vintage on the bottle, gives us the opportunity to combine three-year-old and up to six-year-old Slyrs whiskey. The Classic is characterized by an even more complex and deeper aroma Processing.
Tasting Notes
Nose : Strong intensity, great complexity and variety of dried fruit aromas, e.g. B. Apricot & orange peel. Spicy smell of fresh ginger and caramel.
Taste : Grippy, present and elegant structure with a noticeable sweetness. Aromas of marzipan and walnuts.
Finish : long and intense, with spicy cinnamon notes.
