A rare old bottling of the vintage 1993 14 year old Talisker Double Matured Distillers Edition Special Release Isle of Skye Scotch Whisky and the 2nd release from the year 2007. This 14 year old Talisker Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the Classic Malts Selection from the Isle of Skye was distilled in 1993, matured in American and European oak casks and received a finish in Amoroso sherry casks for at least 3 months - these give the fine whisky more fruit such as sultanas and dried fruit and a syrupy character. The bottling took place in the year 2007 at 45.8% vol. and the batch number TD-S: 5JV.

The Talisker Distillers Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky combines the smoky maritime flavours of the island distillery with fruity sherry notes to create a wonderfully complex single malt with a robust yet charming character.

Like all Classic Malt Distillers Editions, this Talisker has been double-matured in a second cask after the original maturation period (in this case in Amoroso Sherry casks). The experience is older, sweeter and richer than the regular bottlings. This Edition has a very special bitter-sweet harmony where the peat softens on the palate to a rich, sweet, juicy fruit finish.

Talisker have always used Amoroso sherry casks for its Distillers Edition. The secondary maturation creates richer fruits and a sweetness which balances nicely with Talisker's peppery coastal character.
