From the Woodford Reserve distillery in Kentucky, this special release bottle of its Distiller's Select expression commemorates the 142nd Kentucky Derby. This whiskey has been triple distilled, matured in charred American white oak casks and the label artwork is from acclaimed artist, Thomas Allen Pauley.

Woodford Reserve was branded the “Official Bourbon of the Kentucky Derby” in 1999 and, ever since, has been releasing an annual limited-edition whiskey to honour the race. Last Year in 2023 marked 50 years since Secretariat won the 1973 horse race with a record time for the fastest Derby that still stands today.

Tasting Notes

Nose Heavy with rich dried fruit, with hints of mint and oranges covered with a dusting of cocoa faint vanilla and tobacco spice.

Palate Rich, chewy, rounded and smooth, with complex citrus, cinnamon and cocoa Toffee, caramel, chocolate and spice notes abound.

Finish Silky-smooth, almost creamy at first, with a long, warm satisfying tail.
