Pendleton 20 Year Old Director's Reserve Canadian Blended Whisky (2019) 75cl
There’s a story behind every sip when it comes to Pendleton® Whisky Directors’ Reserve. One that embodies the lore and legacy of the Pendleton Round-Up, an iconic symbol of rodeo heritage. Aged for 20 years in American oak barrels then cut to proof with glacier-fed spring water from Oregon’s Mt. Hood, this expression is dedicated to the directors’ of the Pendleton Round-Up. Bask in the flavor profile of toasted oak eloquently united with spiced apples and pears.
Each edition is adorned with a leather smithed neck cuff designed by the late Randy Severe, whose family has made custom saddles for nearly 70 years.
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Toasted coconut, freshly grated cinnamon, oak, vanilla, and orange zest
Palate: Full-bodied and satiated finish with notes of spices, pecans, and walnuts
Finish: A long and mature finish
This expression is definitely more complex that other Pendleton expressions, for the merits of its age. There's a flow of flavour that's not always found in Canadian whisky, and also more depth
