Bell's 8 Year Old Christmas 1993 Decanter "The Maltman's Art" 70cl
A very fine collection piece. Bell's Decanter features a 22-carat gold finished ceramic decanter with the original Bell's blended Scotch. This decanter was produced to commemorate Christmas 1993. The decanter is illustrated with the master malter working his art. The Whiskies used in Bell's Christmas blends are of at least 8 years old contrary to other blends which may use the minimum needed of 3 years.
In 1895 Arthur Bell's two sons, Arthur Kinmond and Robert Duff Bell joined the team. Arthur was responsible for the domestic market, whereas Robert responsible for overseas. Arthur Bell founder died in 1900 and the boys continued their partnership until 1921, when Robert retired. Arthur Kinmond, also known as ‘A.k' continued as a sole trader until his death in 1942. The 1993 Decanter celebrates the art of Distilling, with the roll of the Malt man. From selecting the plump, spreading and turning and the use of a skip (wooden shovel), right through until the malt is kiln dried.
Christmas '93, oh it takes us back. This is a very handsome commemorative decanter, crafted from finest porcelain by Bells. It was released for Christmas 1993, when Mr Blobby topped the charts with the eponymous single, "Mr Blobby".
