Bell's Millennium Decanter 2000 70cl
A special edition of Bell's decanters series. Released to commemorate the new millennium, this is an escape from the normal design. Housed in a delightful glass decanter, which is decorated with important dates in the history of both Scotch and Bells. The contents are the same though - Bell's 8 year old Extra special Blended Scotch Whisky.
The taste is deep, rich, nutty, old wood and unlike a lot of their range.
The history is printed on the front of the bottle and serves as a fantastic drinker or collector's piece.
Located at the gateway to the Scottish Highlands, in the town of Pitlochry, Perthshire, Blair Athol distillery sits. The Allt Dour Burn runs from the hills surrounding Pitlochry, to the site of the distillery. Established in 1798, by John Stewart and Robert Robertson, the distillery was acquired and re-opened by Arthur Bell & Sons in 1933. The millennium glass decanter was released to commemorate the new millennium, right back to the birth of scotch whisky, 1494 “Uisge beatha” – Water of Life.
Bell's is a brand of blended Scotch whisky, introduced in 1851, originally produced by Arthur Bell & Sons Ltd and is now owned by Diageo.
