Bowmore Tempest 10 Year Old Small Batch Release #2 Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky (2010) 70cl

The first bottling of Bowmore's Tempest was was a great whisky, and was received very well amongst those wanting Bowmore but a little more power! This is the second batch which was just as good as the first. The second batch was bottled in 2010 from first fill bourbon barrels. It is a wonderfully complex and fruity dram, combining orange, lime zest and blackcurrants with the classic Bowmore peat tang.

With Batch 1 of Tempest proving to be successful to an extent that not even Bowmore could have anticipated, given that they ultimately ran out, a second batch was almost inevitable. And here it is, a 56% cask strength expression matured for an entire decade at the Islay distillery in first fill bourbon casks
