Bruichladdich 9 Year Old 2013 Single Jurancon Cask #0935 Micro-Provenance Series Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky (2022) 70cl

An exclusive single cask of Bruichladdich bottled for the Laddie Crew UK. We have not seen a Jurancon cask for ageing in a long time.

Part of the Bruichladdich Micro Provenance Cask series.
The Micro Provenance series from Bruichladdich distillery is an exploration into cask evolution, each individually picked by head distiller Adam Hannett to explore the nuances of warehouse location, different oak, cask and micro-climate on the maturing spirit.
This 9 year old single malt whisky was distilled in 2013 and was aged in Juracon 2nd fill Barrels. Made with beer barley, matured in cask #0935 in warehouse WHS05 R08. This 2013 Bruichladdich 9-year-old Micro-Provenance Single Cask 0935 was distilled from the historic Bere barley variety and was bottled from a second fill wine cask that formerly held the French wine Jurançon, a white wine that should have added some delicious sweet fresh fruit flavours to the whisky
Only 276 bottles of this limited edition whisky are available, bottled at a strength of 59.3%.
Tasting Notes
Nose: The bouquet speaks of most succulent fruits you can imagine; cantaloupe melon, peach, apricot, plump ripe red grapes with a hint of dark plums.
Palate: The malty, oak flavours give a biscuit creamy citrus buttery flavour to the spirit with tastes of honey and toffee. They provide the traditional flavours of Bruichladdich.
Finish: There is strength and finesse, elegant and full of latent power, oodles of succulent fruit and mellow tannins that hold the structure beautifully in harmony.
