A sensational blended malt recreating older sherry whiskies

The whiskies in this bottle are AT LEAST 17 years old so some are older but as always you have to number it by the youngest so this represents fantastic value for money.

In true Sponge fashion of quality meets satire, the "NAS" series flips the non-age-statement whisky definition on its head by presenting a "Notable" Age Statement. No less than 17 years of maturation in this belting blended malt, however, the reality is that this only accounts for one of the two casks combined for this release, that being a 2006 Aultmore matured in a first fill sherry cask, with the rest comprised from a 2001 vintage blended-malt sherry butt, bringing the average age higher! Dark and indulgent, there's plenty of aged characteristics here; another great example of the high-calibre whisky released by Decadent.

TASTING NOTES

Just straight up deliciously addictive. It is sherried so burnt caramel, raisins and milk chocolate are all here in drooooooooves
