A very well preserved bottle of Glenfarclas Single Malt. This relic of a bottle is from the 1970s with the labels still attached to the bottle with no peeling.

These days were the days of direct fire stills for distillation with a different taste profile creating a more smoky feel to that of even Speyside whiskies. Back then blends were commonplace and it had to be really emphasised that it was unblended and pure to the consumer. No barcodes. No QR. No mobile phones. Just an era of degrees of alcohol shortly before proof was the mark of alcoholic product testing.

Glenfarclas - Established in 1836.

There is some discolouration to the left side of the label however considering this bottle is more than 50 years old, it is holding up really well.
