Glenmorangie A Tale of Tokyo (2023) 70cl

Glenmorangie A Tale of Tokyo is a special-edition Highland single malt whisky produced at the Glenmorangie Distillery in Tain, Ross-shire. Glenmorangie Tale of Tokyo is a blend of whisky that has been part-aged in Mizunara oak casks and whisky that had spent time in ex-Sherry and Bourbon casks. The whisky fuses notes of pepper with bitter cherries and mouth-watering orange zest with incense and sweet oak.

Inspired to capture his experience of Tokyo as a city of many sensory dimensions and to experiment for the first time with rare Japanese mizunara oak casks, Dr Bill combined a Glenmorangie whiskey partially aged in mizunara casks with a whiskey that was both cask-aged sherry as well as bourbon, making for a unique limited edition that is in perfect balance with Glenmorangie's house style.

Dr Bill has visited Tokyo many times as he is fascinated by its rich culture – it is a place where he finds a lot of creative and sensual inspiration.
