Montedidio Rocaille, Nero D’Avola is a grape variety with red fruits, where its products are extremely suitable for a long aging due to the high acidity of its grapes. The name “Rocaille” comes from the peculiar decorations made with shells, rocks and stones. Used to beautify the holy furniture and altars located at the end of the pilgrimage routes of the Sacred Mountains.
Color: Ruby red with shades of light purple.
Bouquet: Delicate fruity aromas, notes of red fruits, pomegranate, licorice.
Taste: Well balanced, smooth and intense.
Food pairings: Serve with tuna and traditional Sicilian swordfish – Paté. Seasoned cheeses, main courses with meat.
