Speyside Millennium Decanter including stand (2000) 70cl
Distilled at the Speyside distillery, this release was bottled to celebrate the millennium and presented in a crystal decanter. This expression was distilled in 1990 and laid down to mature in sherry casks for an undisclosed length of time before being bottled at 40% abv.
The Speyside distillery is a Scotch whisky distillery near the hamlet of Drumguish in the Speyside region of Scotland, close to the village of Kingussie. It produces the Speyside single malt and Drumguish single malt, and also produces malts under the names Glentromie and Cu Dhub
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Off-centre. Oily and sweet with some malty notes fighting through.
Palate: Immediately sweet and coats the mouth with a pleasant maltiness. A little spice towards the middle, alongside sweet vanilla.
Finish: Sweet coffee and lingering oils.
