Suntory 1991 Furudaru Shiage (Bottled in 2005) 75cl
The 1991 Furudaru Shiage (meaning “old barrel finish”) is a pure malt vatting of reportedly Yamazaki & Hakushu distilleries which was bottled in 2005.
This is a follow-up bottling to the Suntory 1981 Kioke Shikomi, and was distilled in 1991. "Furudaru Shiage" means "old barrel finish", and the red characters on the label translates to "filtered through bamboo charcoal".
The distillation technique seems to have involved the direct fire method and bamboo charcoal filtration. Discontinued in 1999. Comes with its original box.
