Another excellent flavourful addition to the cask finish series that takes a speyside ex bourbon whisky usually matured for around 7 years and then in a cognac barrel for a further 1.5-2 years producing an almost 9-10 year old malt although the humility is too high to place it onto the bottle and the focus for the distillery should be the taste and not the age.

Master Distiller Robert Fleming created this small batch bottling by specially selecting Tomintoul aged in exceptional ex-bourbon American oak barrels, which are then married & finished in hand selected Cognac casks from France.

Tasting Notes 

Nose : Light and lifted with aromas of chestnut, lemon rind, blossom honey and amaretti biscuits with hints of chamomile and fennel.

Palate : Sweet choux pastry and Chantilly cream mingled with sugared almonds, butterscotch, golden raisins and rolling tobacco.

Finish : Layers of white chocolate, panettoni and nutmeg fading into warming ginger spices.
